Business Meeting – April 26, 2003

President Charlena Seymour called the meeting to order at 8:35 a.m.

Ronald Kane moved that minutes of the April 27, 2002 Annual Meeting be approved as distributed. John Lennox seconded. The minutes were approved.

Treasurer’s Report
Harry Richards distributed copies of the Financial Statement for July 1, 2001 – June 30, 2002. The fiscal year ended June 30, 2002, with a balance of $18,896.36 in checking and had a net profit of $5,129.07 for the year. The market value of the Kemper Funds as of 12/31/02 was $97,395.98.

Harry reported that membership for 02-03 was 170 regular institutional members and 2 associate members.

Executive Committee
The membership acknowledged and thanked Lawrence Martin, Martha McKenna and John Lennox, for their service on the Executive Committee.

The membership approved the following individuals for two-year terms (2003-2005) on the Executive Committee as Members-at-Large:

Scott Delcourt, University of Maine at Orono
Fred Hall, McMaster University
Dale Kinney, Bryn Mawr
Jack Narayan, SUNY Oswego

At-large members of the Executive Committee who will continue through April 2004 are:

Gwen Davies, University of New Brunswick
Susan Guma, Sarah Lawrence College
Ronald Kane, New Jersey Institute of Technology
Scott Bass, University of Maryland Baltimore County

Richard Sleight, Yale University was elected President-elect.

Charlena Seymour was presented a plaque for her service as President.

Meeting 2003
Christina Hannah announced that the 2004 annual meeting will be April 15-17, 2004 at the Park Plaza Lord Baltimore Hotel in Baltimore.

The meeting adjourned @ 9:00 a.m.
